Douglas Menuez Photography Collection

Access and Permissions

The complete archive of Douglas Menuez's work is housed permanently at Stanford University Libraries' Department of Special Collections and University Archives. Original photographs, contact prints, and other material from the Douglas Menuez Photography Collection (Mss Photo 451) may be viewed in the department's reading room. Hours and location information can be found here. Please note that material must be requested in advance.

Researchers first must review the finding aid to the collection to determine which folders would be of interest, noting the series, box, and folder number. This information then should be sent to the public service staff at speccollref@stanford.edu at least 24-48 hours in advance of the researcher's visit. It also is possible to make the request in person in the reading room, but the requested images would not be available for use right away. More information on requesting materials can be found here.

  • A finding aid to the collection is available at the Online Archive of California.
  • An XML version of the finding aid is hosted by Stanford University Libraries. (Requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher)

Digital images from the Douglas Menuez Photography Collection may be viewed freely. To learn how to access digitized images from the collection, see Using the Collection.
